About The Stadium
The stadium was built in 1987 with a capacity of 80,000 people. It was originally named (First National Bank) and then later named to Soccer City. Renovations was done in 2008 and now has the capacity of more than 94,000 people which makes it the largest in South Africa.
It was recently awarded with top honours at the Fulton Awards, which rewards constructions for their use of innovation of concrete products.
